Conductive Anti Static ABS Cases
ABS, or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is a common thermoplastic polymer that is made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of poly-butadiene. This combination makes this plastic much stronger than other similar plastics. Alone, ABS does not help in ESD environments; this is why our ABS-CAS LABoxx line is made with a combination of ABS and CAS Conductive plastics. This combination creates a sturdy, hinged lid, opaque black plastic box that is great for use in conductive settings. These boxes have a surface resistivity of < 1x106 ohm/sq., with a static decay rate of charges on conductive vials of 5kV to 50V in < 2.00 seconds.
